Our Dresden site is a flagship European manufacturing site recognized for scale, productivity and technical expertise. Built as a 300mm facility, the site supports FD?SOI, feature?rich CMOS, RF-SOI and power technologies optimized for high?volume, long?lifecycle applications.

With deep manufacturing expertise and an ongoing commitment to research and development, we have played a central role in establishing Saxony as Europe¡¯s leading micro? and nanoelectronics hub. Our site in Dresden is considered as one of the largest international investments in Europe and a key driver of regional value creation.

ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ to create up to 100 new maintenance jobs in Dresden in 2026

ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ is kicking off the new year with a job offensive, sending a clear signal in Saxony’s challenging job market. Many new jobs are being created in the semiconductor sector in ¡°Silicon Saxony,¡± and ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ is one of the key drivers of this development.

European sovereign manufacturing

Our Dresden site holds a Common Criteria accreditation ¨C an internationally recognized standard for the production of goods that require an extra level of security and integrity in the manufacturing process. With a proven track record, we maintain stringent processes, equipment and oversight to ensure the secure production of sensitive chips.

Expanding European semiconductor manufacturing

ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ¡¯ SPRINT project marks a major expansion of the Dresden fab, strengthening Europe¡¯s semiconductor manufacturing base. Key milestones from project start to construction and ongoing build progress underline ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ¡¯s long-term commitment to capacity growth, resilience and trusted chip production in Europe.

    SPRINT project approval enables initial expansion work and site preparation ahead of positive final funding decisions.

    We break ground for expansion, marking the start of construction for new cleanroom and infrastructure capacity.

    With the start of the concrete works, the expansion is beginning to take visible shape and progress on site is now clearly tangible.
